Quick one

Risk assesments, who does them in SA and couldnt we form a co-operative that does them quickly and efficiently for a lower cost?

We could form an internal group, like a governing body. This body could handle risk assessments, applications etc. Just a suggestion.

The more organized we are, the more serious we would be taken. Any serious hobby or certain pet group, has some form of body overseeing it or running it.

Would you like to start a new thread on this please? I think 14+ pages is too long for guys just joining the debate to follow without losing interest.

Remember, if we go about this the "right" way, it has to be objective, and if a species fails a risk assesment then everyone will have to accept it!

As i said the risk assessment is on us the owners to do regardless.

The problem is this, it takes years to do a risk assessment and there is mile long criteria that has to be done.
It is expensive and you won't be able just to do one spider you would have to do every single species listed.
