Not everyone is a doctor, and not everyone finds it easy to learn these names.

It is however a skill all T keepers should acquire - There is no question about it.

As much as I understand that it's not easy and other 'pets' use common names, the simple fact's are that tarantula common names are just way too littered with errors to be used succesfully.

Well, maybe not really. Maybe you just saw through the facade! The OP was bringing to the forum's attention an antiquated response I made to a fellow who was either very frustrated with the scientific naming method, or who really didn't have a clue about what the issues were.

In a long, rambling response I managed to not talk about this persons "lack of ept"* or a lack of understanding, and went off on my own tangent discussing several different only very distantly related subjects: the current name of the king baboon, my Shelties, and finally I blather on, using movie cliche's.

But, thank you ever so much for at least paying attention. :laugh:
