I ask questions.Berserker wrote: What makes you think The Animal has a closed mindset?
At least he and various others makes a tangible effort to improve and safeguard our hobby.
A hobby by which you make profit if I am not mistaken...
What are you doing to improve the situation?
TA doesn't need you to stand up for him/her so plz stop.Berserker wrote: I ask them too, hence my question - What do you do for the improvement, advancement, and preservation of the hobby?
Apart of course from sitting behind a screen and criticizing those that make a tangible effort?

To answer this clever Q you got I do the only thing I can do which is to keep them.
The clever okes at Natcon and these breeders you idolize don't affect my hobby so why not beg for input from these big players. My way of doing it is asking for clear legislation, which is more than your gonna get if you keep on with this buddy buddy attitude.

Then tell them it should be readable and show the differences in provincial law.
From my excursions with NatCon, I've found that they are in short supply of manpower, and have reached the conclusion, that it is up to us keepers of exotics, to gear ourselves with the law, the stipulations the works, to keep ourselves in the clear, I didn't know just doesn't cut it...
TH
This kind off attitude doesn't really help. If this is the only info we need from Natcon why not make it the main point of the seminar.

Please quote the full context, and not just the parts that suit you...

Exactly my point, you don't care, because you only think of yourself... And you call TH narrow-minded...
Ignorance of said legislation does not absolve you from it. End of story. You're quick to criticize and to throw stones, hoo hah the so called clan... Let me tell you this, don't you think they've been there? There where you're now... And as result of a little foresight, decided to get of their asses and address the matter? I am not defending anyone here, TH is completely able to do that himself, as are the rest of them, have you stopped to think for a moment that it is exactly that which they address - The lack of clarity in the legislation? I guess not, otherwise you wouldn't shoot down their efforts, their collective effort, should in essence assist in identifying the bottlenecks, where as a effort from a single entity might miss a lot of detail...
Which I think personally is way better than sitting in solitude...
Should the hobby be outlawed, as a single entity you will fall, but with the relevant role players, like these veterans will be able to reach a decent middle ground.
Now you'll say, but should the hobby be outlawed, where will the man power come from to enforce?
Doesn't matter, it will be an outlawed hobby, where these role players make it their business to prevent that.
Western Cape is it not Lion? There the keeping of any Theraposid is illegal not so? Thus making your whole argument hypocritical in nature not so? :pinch:
@ Iclazion - That is the spirit! Hope you are insured. Keep us posted on the progress of this application please. As I am sure should it be successful, would pave the way for a lot more applications.
