My subadult B. albopilosum got out of one of these tanks with a wooden lids. Couldn't believe it but the lid was in place when the spider wasn't anymore :blink:

Found him back luckily....

All these stories are starting to scare me... Don't want any of my Ts to escape...

This is the suggested lid method.


Just bearing in mind that you have to seal the wood and the screw or else it starts rusting and does not look so nice. If you are worried about the rust you can use the screws from the top!

Can you believe it, my G. pulchripes sling escaped today. My own fault really.

Anyone have a sling/juvie for sale?

I had an Acanthoscurria sp Bolivia and a Nhandu chromatus escape in January. Found the first in Feb and the second in March. Searched everywhere in the rooms with no luck. Only found them at night when I went in with a torch. They seem able to hide in the smallest spaces.

I lost a fully grown female Costarican Zebra T nad never found her again and she was huge!
