I cant think why repiles dont get it. But its hard to compare a tarantula to a reptile.

Reptiles most probably can handle it and digest what ever goes into there system.

I would say remove the infected spider away from the rest your other spider and keep him cool, I find that seemed to help when my spider had DKS.
