I have heard that DKS comes from the crickets and I think so to therefore I dont believe that it is hereditary or contagious, but possiblt contagious, ICU, warm, and a dead Cricket in there is the best thing you can do for your T.

@Dave When were the last couple of DKS cases that you heard? Weird...

I visited a mate of mine today, Patrick, and one of his female L.Violaceopes about 11cm has "DKS" right now too, so we did what I mentioned above and she ate 1 cricket so thats a better sign than before.

Taki's huge Theraphosa blondi (Goliath Bird Eater) just died from DKS also from Crickets.

Quick Question: If my small circkets and Xsmall crickets get very tiny specs of white on them (not fluffy, looks like dust almost)... Is that dangerous or a bacteria?

I have has a couple of DKS related issues in the past all with spiders dying as a result

In that archnoboard thread, Stanley was just saying that it mite just be a theory.
Personally I think its what the tarantula consumes that causes the problem. If it was
genetics, why would the spider only get affected at a certain stage in life, surely
if it was born with the problem it would struggle with the disease its whole life, from sling
to adult until it eventually kills the spider?
