So how's this to stir up the pot a bit. I had an 8cm ornata that I bought from the same batch as Darrens. Molted about 2 weeks ago, refused to eat and then started to show DKS like symptoms, put it in icu but then died :( It was a female. I have a male from the same batch, one molt ahead of the female but seems to be doing fine.

I'm sold on the cricket idea. I've never seen dks and I've never had crickets :)

A close second is altering the conditions from what's going on outside the cage. Just like laying in a hot bed when you're not sick the T wil get sick if treated to different conditions than it should be experiencing.

Ok so found out what is DKS and found a site where the person says it can also be stress related and the advice they give is to put it in your bathroom with a lot of steam and feed it warm crickets. Dunno if it works as you are the experts B)

Sorry I didn't give an explanation of DKS in that post - I do not believe in it. It's like a medieval sickness where everything related to a T not acting normal is called DKS.

The cures as you can see is also medieval. Steam and warm crickets sounds like a idiot's idea.

Keep away from overcaring for your T's. Good ventilation , roaches and water is al they need.

O I only feed my T roaches, and I've had a gbb, avic and this ornata get DKS, or something similar to DKS. All kept in a temperature regulated room, definitely not dehydrated, but not too moist either. Something else is up.
