P.subfusca "light form" was known as P.bara, but was synonymised with P.subfusca.
Currently some Europeans are calling the light form P.bara, but as far as I know, there are no papers which have officially renamed it.
Anyone know who bred the spiders that Tim has? Would love to know if both parents were "pure".
Just because the spider has a slightly different colour doesn't mean it should automatically be a new species. Look at the typical murinus and dark form murinus.

Spoke to Tim and he says the sac is his own.
The female is "quite dark, but not as dark as other one's he has seen" and he bought the male mature, so not sure what colour form that is.
How dark is the spider suppose to be to be pure "dark form"? That is anyone's guess.

Seen as he is not sure on how "pure" they are, I hope anyone on this thread who moaned about mixing the 2 forms doesn't buy any.
I will be sure to put my name on the list if mine doesn't drop though. :)

A link to a post where a guy got 2 "light" and 2 "dark" form female subfusca's from a sac from a wild caught female.

Its a slow day at work, so thought I would check up and ask members to post pics of their subfusca (Or "bara") and see what we get.
Would be interesting to see if all the "subfusca's" are as dark as this:

and all the "bara" are as light as this:
