I missed that paper as well but since last year the Germans and europeans have been selling the lowland as -- P. sp lowland.
P.subfusca now only refers to the highland
There is obviously doubt that they are the same and are trying to keep them seperate until further reseasrch has been done.

VERY interesting indeed, I think jayefbe is going about it the most logical way.... his theories make the most logical sense to me and would certainly prove a lot of things purely scientifically.

You can take an Aphonopelma to crickets but you can't make it eat!

Where did meteor's post go to???

Anyway, to answer it:
Those all look slightly different to each other.
Personally, I would be surprised if there were any "pure blooded" subfusca's in the country at all. From all the subfusca's that I have seen, none look like "pure" light or dark form to me.
So anyone that was really anti-mixing forms, should really not own any subfusca's unless they are wild caught IMO.

Sorry to throw in a spanner here, I just asked Tim from Petbugs if the subfusca's he will have are lowland or highland and he replied to tell me that lowland has been renamed Peocilotheria bara. And the highland is the P. subfusca. Does anyone (Cerat) know about this???
