Just kidding, hoe long do you plan to keep them going communally? Until they reach adulthood or will you split them up if there are any signs of aggression or ,hopefully not, a fatality?

At this stage we want to keep it communal as long as possible, need to see if it's possible that P metallica can be as communal as scarab's M balfouris....
We did lose a second one but the rest are growing nicely and while we don't see all of them at any one time, I do see different ones in their 'usual' areas on a regular basis. I want to at some point have a proper look for all of them just to make sure of how many are still alive and well accurately.

Have you considered using tillandsias in enclosures ? They are epiphytic plants that can be hot glued onto almost any surface as long as there is a moderate amount of humidity.
