I think those are little miggies (tiny flies) flying close to the camera and appearing to look like moths. It's possible that they caused them to come out but I don't think so. They weren't actually all that close to their hide.
What is very interesting is that with so much space in that huge enclosure, they actually seem to prefer being together in general by the looks of it.

So the molts are happening. I can see about 3 that have molted and pulled the molt out.

The one that made its nest right in the front also molted.

I find they all come out as soon as they are hungry. When fed they hide until the feel the need for food. p. metallica's are pure hunters. As apposed to ambush preditors.

Are the molts big enough to sex??

That is interesting with regards to space.
What I would like to know, as they get bigger, so would their "nests" get bigger.
Would they build their "nest" on top of each other or move them a little bit apart so they a bit more space.

And which spider decides who keeps the prime realestate? :lol:
