I would suggest making it open for inclusion. Rather letting people join if it's their choice, not because we know of them - if you get my meaning? I was also thinking we need a small panel of trusted breeders (Like Hendrijs, Scarab etc if they interested) to begin with that can start voting in other known and trusted breeders.

Or are you suggesting Dimitri that we add a whole bunch of people and let the ratings by buyers do the work? I'm just worried that any oke can get his entire Karate class to come and give him good ratings.

On Bid or Buy, the sellers and buyers need to get ratings, maybe something else to consider.

My biggest wish for this hobby and community is to have things in the open. Honesty is key for success. Alot of people have been tricked into buying incorrect things and lose money. Yes it might be their fault not doing their homework but as a website for hobbyists providing more and more information is very good and keeps the hobby healthy.

Of course you get the people that dont come on here for certain reasons. Again i dont want this list to be part of the "forum" but a separate page like the tarantupedia. From my little experience managing this website i have found that people dont like this site because it tells the truth. So most breeders that have screwed people over are not on here and the ones that where left quickly cause their real colours where shown/proven very very quickly.

I cant see why breeders will not want to be on the list unless they are doing funny business RIGHT?

wow. this topic has really developed. I like the idea, though I'm usually against bureaucracy .Can the people in the this hobby actually work together and pull off something as big as this, not just in teory when people put on their ''friendly forum faces'' but in practice when they are amongst themselves, away from the forum. this hobby definatly has a bitchy underbelly.

However the newbies will definatly benifit from it, but again not everybody in the hobby is on this forum... further how does it stop people from breeding the bejeesus out of species, only to notice that they can't sell the slings? I've heard some scary stuff from ''breeders''...
-"my parahybana female is huge bro,i'm going to mate her, I might have to sell them for R2 each, but if i get a 1200 sac, thats R2400 i didn't have''
or
-'' I cant seem to sell my 500 curlies, so I'll just label them as schroederi or emilia to get them to sell quick''

If only there was a way to make a person have to get approval, from other keepers (experienced hobbiest etc) prior to breeding the species. Like suggested on another topic (Think it was T-rad), a list should be compiled of species not to be bred (curlies, klugi's, incei's etc), and a person who then chooses to breed an one of these species to be named publically, as to ensure that this practice of over breeding gets boicotted.

Hi i'm new to this hobby and reading almost every thing just to get on top of things and my 10c is that I have looked at the local pet shops and they don't even have more than 3 different types of T's thus would I rather like to get on this site where I know is a list of breeders that I can pick and choose from to obtain the species I'm looking for.

Currently there is some species I'm looking for but can't find any where or someone that have them,a list of breeders can be a solution for problem.

For new T keepers this will be a huge advantage. B)

Maybe once the rating page is there, it can also show who bred what, which could also help with two or three guys not breeding the same species...

Firstly hello again
I support this fully,we have these type of clubs/communities with canine breeding like Kusa as an example. Being outside of this does not limit you,you may breed as you wish. For a newbie it is easier to go straight to such a local organisation and get the proper advice or pet, instead of being bull dozed into a lie. This could grow beyond belief, since i would love to see support in all regions at the end of the day. Where i am it is hard to find someone not just selling, but actual after sales support/advice. What kills a pet, easy as not being correctly informed. This could grow as a monthly get together in different regions, this is how the hobby will survive and thrive. You do not have to force anyone, they will actually do it by free will. So again great idea, definitely a yes.
