Hi there and welcome MB.

I don't think that is going to be a fair deal for you, the guy will score with a snake like that.

So as you said, sell your snake and buy spiders, or the guy needs to give you more spiders for the snake.
What is it sex and length.

Ok and then, you say you new into the spider game, what I would suggest is, first get your head around keeping them, and do your home work on breeding and once you got an Idea of what you going to be doing then go a head and attempt the breeding projects.

Hi & welcome to forum.
I really dont know prices of snakes or T`s in SA but here in Europe no one will trade that snake for that 3 tarantulas. If you really want to start this hobby and have some T`s then better way is to sell the snake and for money you get you will be able to buy some nice tarantulas.
Or even better keep the snake and buy 2-3 common slings and enjoy watching them while they grow.

Good idea.
Chances are that you would probably have ended up with some males. :(
Like Cascade said, rather get some experience at keeping spiders first before you jump into the breeding thing.
And welcome. :)
