Now the question has come up About P metallica wich I now is sort after.

I have just gotten my self My First P ornata
And as small as what they are they are stunning
I have known about them every since I been on the site just never knew how stunning they look until some photos wore posted and I started to do some photo browsing .So my aim is to start my Pokie collection .

OK OK my Question is who as mated what
And who has got All 12 species in there collection ??

I now there is a couple of members on the site who have a very nice collection of POKIES .

So far There is only 3 species that I have seen for sale ,Is there going to be other species on the market or is it these 3 species for now..
WICH ARE
P. fasciata
P. regalis
P. ornata
these are the ones Im reffering to

Please list the species you are referring to it will make answering your question a tad easier!

To me it is not important who has the most species. Anybody with a ton of money can go out and buy a bunch of Poecilotheria (or any other species/genus for that matter). Whats more important to me is who is successfully keeping and breeding them. There are a few members (and ex members) who have had successful hatchout's of ornata, fasciata and regalis and i know currently of eggcases of regalis and striata. The rest are a waiting game till someone has success.
Lots of people have mated Poecilotheria's, but soon find out its harder getting them to lay an eggcase and getting babies out than they thought. Never count your slings before they hatch. Lol.

Dont know if anybody has all the pokies in their collection. Havent heard of anybody with the rarer species like P. smith etc.

Im not really intrested who has what and the most of what for bragging rights ,Im asking in the since of who has got what and how many of what, For the reason of maybe one of the days we will see alot more Pokies spieces out there in the market place and see the pokie side of the hobby grow a bit more it is not really a very sort after hobby IMO still getting there the keeping Of pokies that is (maybe Im wrong)
There is one or two members who only have pokies in there collections ..

Cascade theres 14 species of poekies and if we want to seperate the P.subfusca into lowland and highland there would be 15.I have 12 of those 14-15 species of which 3 is male and I struggle to get females ,but I did burrow one of my males so I hope we have breakthrough in getting a eggsack.Its like Rayman says I think so far its one of the most difficult species to mate.I have just lost an eggsack of myne the P.ornata which was a bummer.my P.formosa had about 60 eggs and only 4 became eggs with legs and 3 turned to be instars,as you also saw the you tube movie on the metallica eating her eggsack which looks quite common to the poekie species.So far there has been success with the P.faciata ,P.regalis and P.ornate all different breeders so maybe we can get a patern and have more success in the future.Next time when you buy a poekie buy 3-5 and your chances of having both male and female is great.
