What type of lid do you have on the ICU container? I would personally try using fine mesh net or something like ladies tights/stocking type material with plenty of cross ventilation in the sides, it is about all you can do. Keep the disturbance to a minimum because is it is wanting to moult then it needs peace and darkness. Just keep it in the dark and check it every couple of hours with a torch.

Lid currently looks like a shotgun was fired at it. Have a lot of holes on the side as well. Ventilation is as good as I can get it with out leaving Kitana out in the open.

Finally going home in a few min then can go have a look how he/she is doing.

I feel your pain.
My versi grew up fast and is now a stunning 7cm specimen. But I have had bad luck with P pulcher slings. They keep dying on me. Keep them as I do my other Psalmopoeus, but they just keep growing weaker and weaker until it dies.

So I have given up for raising them as slings. Will buy an adult female when I see one (and have the money).

Holding thumbs for you.

Hi all

:woohoo:
Kitana has made a 180 turn at what seemed to be certain death and is doing soooooo much better. Still not out of the woods yet but Im very confidant that Kitana is going to be around for a long time still.

Thank you all for the advice and support it really helped a lot. :cheer:

 An amazing recovery by the looks of it. Ive been watching this post with great interest as I have just recently got an Avicularia avicularia and was worried that it would just spontaneously curl up and die, seems we dont give these little guys enough credit. Now must get a versi i think.....
