@Trad don't you think disturbing her, made her eat the eggsack. Most females I have seen with eggsacks are blocked off from people moving about etc by means of paper etc, so that she may not see me feeding the other tarantulas etc?

Is there anyone who have advice about disturbing a female on her eggsack?

I, personally, would never disturb or move a female with an egg sac as I have heard numerous accounts where the female would eat the sac due to stress and disturbance

My MM X.immanis has the same issue, he's 22cm and she's about 18cm, not that much smaller, but when they finally managed a "normal" mating embrace, his pedipalps were coming out behind her spinnerets! The second time he was poking and stabbing her book lungs, the third time he got her ALL skew and was poking at the glass...

Eish... virgins...

Sorry HeteroScuderia but that is funny I can just picture it. I have now left the one male with her but for some reason neither of them, all of a sudden wants nothing to do with her, they are all running or hiding away. She is now extremely fat. There is no tell tale sign of a bell shaped nor ball shaped rump. Maybe if she has a midnight snack tonight that might all change ;) and if so please please please I don't need a third Tarantula to molt out in a row. First my B.albopilosum "yeah I know :)", then my G.rosea (rcf). She has now been mated numerous times by one of my 2 males who I feel should be jailed! He looks like he rapes her. As soon as he see's or smell's her he dashes towards her, lifts her up and 1,2,3 he inserts numerous times and is done. Needless to say I have to force him away from her with a artists brush. The second is more lovey dovey and just stares at her. Time will tell :)

Back on topic I will update you on the progress.

My H.incei mated faster than the I could see ;)

The male and female touched legs and both freaked out running in the opposite direction, the enclosure was round so they ran into each other again, legs flashed all over the place for all of about 1 full second and they split directions again and the male gapped it out of the enclosure.

Every other attempt resulted in the T's just running away from each other I thought I had failed so I gave it about two weeks before trying again, but before I could try again the female webbed herself up and I knew something was up. A few weeks later... egg case...

Inserts really seem to happen in a flash sometimes, so don't worry.

Ok, so I have some different information regarding H incei females and egg sacks.

I had one female that was left alone, did not disturb her through out, from her been matted to dropping the egg case.
She ate her egg sack both times.

Then, in the first enclosure, I decided to check what was left in my communal, out of the ten H. incei
On going through the enclosure I disturbed the female with her eggsack, so I I just cleaned up where I found her and gave it back to her, she then took it back, and started webbing her place up, 3 days later she had moved her egg sack to another coner of the tank.
Got 50 slings from her.

Then I did the same with the other with other two females, in the other communal, well i had a reason to sort this one out it had some mold starting on the piece of bark and on the substrate.
But same thing gave the egg sack back to both females, and they excepted them and hatched them out! I wonted to actaully try swapping there egg cases around.
Wonted to take female one egg case and give it to female 2 and take female 2 egg case and give it to the other lady in the other tank and then other lady egg sack to female 2.

But none the less, i thought they wore going to discard or even eat the egg sacks, but the fact that they are communal has some thing to do with it.

if I remember correctly Hendrisj had some thing happen like that where a female that had a egg sack got eaten, and another female took the sack as her own?
Not so sure of how it went?
