Okay the issue at hand is I have a Female H.incei the size of godzilla according to the males view :) any case, I have tried mating her with 3 males so far. She is a real slut and very willing ;) The only problem I have is my males that I watched trying to mate the female keep missing her spermathecae. It's almost like they keep on rubbing right over her spermathecae and no insertion has been witnessed so far. Well the first male became her dinner date :) the other 2 are still alive and doing well but, you guessed it they keep on missing inserting their emboli into the females spermathecae.

Any advice? Could this be because the males are old, scared or would my female need to molt again before mating with other males?

They are even able to wipe her spinnerets :) but hooking the emboli is just not happening. She however have created a nest.

Hey bud, I have also had that with about 4 males that I tried with my female, I have noticed that if u try with 1 male over a period and he gets to know her "body and size", he will eventually almost flip her over to get to her epigastric furrow :) Else I do think it could be due to the massive size difference, so it is a bit harder in that aspect too

oops  yeah they miss the epigastric furrow :) Her size is REALLY a problem "damn the last cricket" but she picks herself up so the males may move in beneath her. My 6 legged male also tried various direction because he only has L1,L2,L3,L4- R2,R3 so he goes into 4x4 mode and tries continuously non stop from the left, right, straight on almost like the TKG kamasutra guide seriously. The other male needs to be shark caged, actually both of them, as I have seen that abstinence of her contact forces them to grow a pair. Will try again. Thew and she really is a slut, maybe she is just to easy ;)

Hahaha! Weirdly enough my female was quite "outgoing" as well, but yep over 6 months never produced a sac with 4 different males of which I did see insertions... :( So now iv moved onto pokies cause she made me sad... and she ate 3 males  She wasn't very communal you could say but measured a bulky 8cm vs. a skinny 4cm male so when I mated them, I would let them go at it for a couple hours and take the male out the same night(as I did learn that the hard way too).

;) Goodluck

What seems like a miss to you might be a insert.
Inserts happen so fast you often miss them, Put the male with say 2 more times, when the female is done with and she is covered/gravid they tend to web them self's up and don't wont to be disturbed, this is where the male mite get chomped, if he does not read the signs!

I had 2 mature males that I just left with the female, then the female disappeared so we lifted up the log in the enclosure and there she was with an egg sack :) that she ended up eating :(
