Brian those little gaps will be fine. Klippie you can always make a wooden lid? Easier to make holes that way.

T-Rad, i will use the gaps like Brian suggested, will work perfect for the arboreal enclosure, i want to stay away from wood as much as i can, would like an all glass enclosure. wonder if another glass place will be able to cut the vent holes for me. Just need to phone around.

I can also put a gap on the lid and maybe just do a small gap at the rear of the enclosure. :chainsaw:

Yesterday i went to visit Cryptic Z, saw some of his enclosures and it got me thinking.

For an arboreal one can just use a fish tank turned on its side with a plexiglass front door, as you can drill into the plexiglass for your vents. either use a piece of glass or plexiglass for the bottom piece to hold the substrate and construct either a hinged or sliding door system.

For terrestrial setups, replace the sides of the aquarium with plexiglass sides, again so that you can place your vents on the sides.

its just a rough idea and could make building these enclosures a lot easier.

After watching a few RobC vids on Youtube, i decided to collect some bark for the enclosures. Now i just need to find the best way to sterilize the bark to make it safe for the T's. i see that the most common way is to first soak in boiling water for 30 min and then bake for 45min. will give that a try.

I scrub and wash my bark in hot water.
Also baking it in the oven is a good way.
