I have 250 spiders Have some more coming on Saturday (Breeding loan), 6 species of roaches, 12 containers of feeder colonies, 2 snakes, some fish and platanas, a 5year old daughter, her mother and work, the normally cleaning of the house and curtain responsibility to family and Friends.

I feed my larger spiders once a month to a month
The slings get feed every 10 days, I do feeding at night of the slings or on a Saturday, normally in front of the T.V or in the kitchen when making food.

The slings tend to be more time consuming, the deli cups take a good couple of hours to feed on there own.
The larger spiders are much faster.
I have a secret weapon, Isopods and really clean spiders that do there own house keeping.
Forest roaches also keep tanks clean.

The most time consuming part is when I deep clean there tanks out, as every tank gets washed, dried and them set up ready for the spiders.

Like last night I was not able to sleep, so I spent an hour and half in the spider room watching the colony of H. incei
and feed a couple of spiders while I was there.

As Uncle says, If I see something that I'm not happy about I do it then and there, same goes for the snakes, as soon as they make a poo, the moment I see it, I clean it!
And then every second week I I do a water change for the fishes.

Spiders are pretty easy to keep, they don't take lots of space and they don't need that much fuss over them.

My advice is Night time, you have how many hours that waste by sleeping just cut into that time a bit! :chainsaw: you might just become grumpy after a couple of nights of staying up late!:evilgrin:
I have always spent Nights with my spiders, that is when every one else is sleeping and I have time.

Same as you have to set time aside for meetings and have deadlines for work, that is the same how your time over a weekend should be set up.

Currently my collection is down to about 150.
Spend maybe 10 hours a week on them (I am a night owl, so feed/watch them at night after 9 or 10 when the wife is asleep)
My advice would be to cut down on feelings whenever possible. During the winter now, I feed them once every 2 weeks or so. The rest of the time currently is spent watching them. Saves on feeders.

117 T's (and happily expanding the collection), and a colony of B lateralis.

Feed the sling tubs on Wednesdays and Sundays and the larger ones only on Sundays.
If terrestrial T's abdomens are larger than 1.5x carapace, and arboreal T's larger than 1x carapace I skip until next feeding session.

Sorting roaches for size when feeding is a pita, but the actual feeding goes pretty quick. The T cupboard (soon to be wall of T's) is in my office and I have a quick look every time I walk past them, so no idea how much time I spend on them.

Wow, t's by the hundreds. Guess it comes with experience. My fiancee already feels shes getting the short end. Now to work on my time management, t management or fiancee management?
