I'm new here and new to Tarantulas, so apologies for the possible paranoia.

I've had my female curly (7cm) for about 3 weeks now. Today, when I took out her water, basically the whole surface of the substrate came along as a "carpet" attached to the bowl.

Friend of mine's curly does not do this.

Is this indicative of something wrong with the enclosure?

IMO it's gonna molt.

My curlies also do that. I just brush off the webbing from the water bowl when I clean it. Like this the remainder of the "carpet" remains on the substrate

I doubt molt as she did right before I got her and she fed yesterday?

Nothing wrong with your spider, and nothing to worry about.
Spiders often lay lines of silk/webbing as the walk around the enclosure.

All my Brachypelma albopilosum (Curlyhair) do this.

Mine too. They seem to like a little bit of Interior Decorating but their tastes in Decorl leave a lot to be desired.
