Urticating bristles in my eye- BEWARE!!

Good morning! So I went to see the doc this morning- he told me that there was still bristles lodged in my cornea. They are however not migrating inwards and doesn't seem to be infected. So his advice is to continue using the cortisone eye-drops and wait for the irritation to go away.
He's phoning the Prof at the University of Pretoria later to ask for advice, apparently no specialist in the country has seen this before! Weird for us because tarantulas is part of our daily lives, but for these people it's weird and unheard of...They even refer to me as the spider-guy and can't understand why I want to keep tarantulas!
I'll keep you posted if I hear from the Tuks Prof!
Well I didn't need any drops or gel today...Seems like it is finally subsiding! I don't know if the Doc scraped a hair or 2 out that was irritating me but all feels fine. I have to continue with the cortisone treatment though because apparently you can't just suddenly stop. I hope this is the end of it- lesson learnt thank you!!
