Welcome to the hobby.

To help you, here is the scientific name for future copy and past use. :P
Lasiodora parahybana (salmon pink birdeater )
You can make it shorter by writing L. parahybana

I'm sure pretty soon you will have more spiders in your collection.

Thank you very much, its a step each day. I know the one I chose is not a beginner species, but it's a species that likes to be in the open. Also when all else fails, google it. Which I did, found to be a very fast growing species also a good appetite.

Welcome!

Check out the sticky in the beginners section for good beginner species if you want a good place to start. The L.parahybana is in my opinion a trophy species for beginners and will always be a great spider to show your friends at full adult size.

Enjoy your stay :)

Thank you I will surely do that, since I see so many opinions when browsing the internet. It gets extremely confusing,so will definitely check out that section. I would also like to know about two other species, the pink toe and t.blondi. Where would I find a topic on those,if they have been discussed.
