I put a wider strip of vaseline around each enclosure. 5cm wide.
This seem to stop most of them. The occasional Peter Parker gets out. But it is MUUUUUCH better than before.

thats why i have a few rows, it restricts them more. they get over the first but might not get over the second or third. i also in the start only had one strip and roaches still got out... no probs anymore

I got 200 Cape red head roaches in 2x5 liter ice cream containers .I got plenty of bark for them to hide It makes it hard for them to run up the side they will rather run and hide .. I also have egg trays with bark in my other container als like I say it makes it hard for then to run away ..

another design you could do is make a flap that faces down wich will make it hard for the Ts to climb over it just attacvhed under the lid .IE like they have at the Zoo for the Liones with the electric fencing that faces down at an angle ..

If you build some thing like that and if its got enough of an angle the roches will chose to hide and they should slip ...

Well that will work hundreds if you have then in a Fish tank,,

You will also find if you give your roaches bottom heat and plenty of egg cartons to hide in, they will stay close to the heat and hiding places, ie they will all be at the bottom. To sort them, dump them in say 4 stacked buckets, with decreasing size holes. That way you end up with all your adults in the top bucket, with decreasing sizes lower down. Pallids can be a bit of a pain. Maybe you should consider Blaptica or Blaberus roaches? I keep all three, and I don't even consider scaling down.
