If you want to keep avic slings successfully ventilation and humidity is important ..as slings you have to keep them in a container without a lid ,I have used this method and had no problems with my versis that I got last year

Sorry to hear bout your Versi, in genral Versiclour slings are not hardy and tend to die easy especially after a long/stressfull transit, i also lost one in last last postal endevour 2 months ago so i feel your pain,As slings they can be very fragile thus the reason they are not for beginners, though its temperament does not suggest this as adults, but becasue of the care needed as slings,
There is also a conition know in Versicolours where they can die after a molt or during the first feeding after a molt foir no apparent reason.i forget the name of it now sorry, but yes very much a soft species.
