I was thinking of maybe waiting till the expo to spend some cash. What do you guys think? I don't know if it's worth waiting. I haven't been to one of the expo's yet so looking forward to it.

I'll do that then. It's not too long to wait. And perhaps, just perhaps, some of you guys can help me convince my Girlfriend that it's a good idea to get more than I bargain for.

But as I said, those are on top of my list of T's to get.

I think if your Girlfriend experience some of the expo and the people attached to it she should change her mind or just get her one and if she keeps it and loves you have have one a battle.

What does your girlfriend not like about that many tarantulas?

It's just a space issue. She believes that when they are fully grown that they will take up all the space in the house. Which is not entirely incorrect, this hobby/addiction can get out of hand quite quickly I suppose.

I will talk to her and get her excited for the expo and hopefully by that time, she would have changed her mind about getting more T's.

If you play your card right and you smart with how you handle your next conversation you can get your girlfriend to move mountains for you. shocked :igiveup:

The nice thing about tarantulas is you don't need much space, you basically need 2 meters of a wall in your house somewhere and bob is your uncle then you need to go up to the ceiling.
And you can easily house up to 60 tarantulas in that space.
And adults at that.

Just need to assure the misses you will keep it neat and tidy and you want buy more tarantulas, only what you can keep on the shelf (loophole right there) whistle2 noob

You can call it a design feature and let your girlfriend decide on the color scheme and how it must look and where it should be placed, with the biggest design choices coming from you though.
Let her be part of the process, buy flowers for her and spend a bit extra on her and not just on spiders, then she wont get jealous or fight with you because the spiders take the cake every time.

Spend time with her over feeding, cleaning or watching your spiders, do all that when she is fast asleep.Put her to bed for that to happen faster :angel:
Never just talk about the spiders to her, that what we are here for :eyepoke: :drunk: show her the interesting things of the spiders but focus on her and how her day was and things like that.
Also run the bath for her and make her take a long bath, this will give you some time to mess with the spiders.
Also make supper every night, wash the dishes and make the bed do all this and you will be smiling as your collection grows!

The main thing, spiders must not be more important to you than she is, well they can be but just don't let her know that!

Or depending how badly you want to keep the spiders?
You can put your foot down and tell her straight you will be keeping spiders regardless how she feel about them.
But this could mean someone will be packing there bags! :laugh:
