Taki, I tried the tape method that you also suggested and it seemed to have worked.

Lucky for me the tape I used was not very sticky so did not pull my arm hairs along but did work to remove the hairs and the burning itch. :thumbsup:

I would gladly do the next experiment, to take your place or save you the itch, but it doesn't have that effect on me. So, how many times are you going to use the suit? Will you wash it after every use, hahaha, what if hairs get on the inside when you wash it and put it on when dry ? Sorry, I can't stop laughing.

No worries, :laugh: even my girlfriend thought it was funny and had a good laugh will I was fighting with myself for being so brave, and again tonight, will she was telling her parents what I had done. :laugh: :eyepoke:

I must say if i have to look back over my lifespan of being apart of the hobby, this is one of those first time moments for me, even though it was not pleasant.

I used Ingram's Camphor Cream as the first and last test cream.
I had a couple of other makes standing by for the testing. whistle2

I must say out of all of this I have found the sure fire way to remove the hairs and the itch from one's body, tape, I got flicked again tonight and instead of washing or applying cream I went straight for the sellotape and started to "wax" the itching area and it was sorted with in seconds.

My girlfriend is actually getting me the suit as she works for a PPE company, I got confirmation on Friday that the stock is on its way and should only be here by next week sometime as it has to be imported so I have to wait a bit longer to get into my suit.

The products name is called Tyvek disposable coverall.

It is non washable, what has been explained about this product, I would be able to use it for a far amount of time or as long as the zip and materiel lasts.
But they are not expensive in price.

With regards to the hairs on the suit, I would have to test that out to see what happens and if it just going to become a urticating suit of hairs. (as this thread shows it does not always work like one would like or hope. sad )

But the coverall is used for working with fiber glass, spray painting, mining and the list goes on for what it can be used for. ( i wonder if the developers will add stopping of tarantula hairs if it works?)

Shame Jake, it's not fun getting a reaction to those hairs. My son has pretty much gone off T's due to the urticating hairs and now only likes non flicking species lol.
So basically I think I'm right in trying to keep the area totally dry rather than 'wetting' it with cream, sweat, water etc. I assume if you have a long shower though, it might also wash a lot of them off eventually......
