We all know what the going rate for most of the spiders available in the hobby is. Most of us can quickly estimate a "fair" price going on Specie, Sex and Size. But what about the more rare T's available?

What would the value be of eg. (slings, juvie , MM,MF,etc)
Pterinopelma sazimai
Olygoxystre diamantinensis

I have both above species and would like to know what a fair price for them would be?

If other people would like to use this thread to get an estimate of their more rare species feel free...Keyword is RARE though... No price check for your 6cm Unsexed Curly!! :eyepoke:

This might be off topic, but what can be annoying is the fact that going rates don't really get applied in places like say bloemfontein or kimberley. They get so blown out of proportion, most people lose interest in the hobby. Wish one could actually control pricing, but I know its not realistic.

@Martin Oosthysen Prices are controlled by supply/demand and is unfortunately how everything else in the world works so no changing it. We just need to accept it

As for getting prices in rare (read recently illegally imported) tarantulas, good luck with that...

Lol, I get how that works. When prices are almost doubled than normal rates, thats not business its highway robbery. Since if the T is worth say R400 id gladly pay it, just don't sell a T worth half of that at the same price. You would flourish short term, but abysmally fail long term.

Is that opposed to NOT SO recently illegally imported T's Konrad?

I just think giving guys that may intend importing a rough price on what they could get in SA supports the continuation of illegal imports. Just my 2c
