tarantulas.co.za is already a society we have the members and strength to become something much stronger.

@ Panama:

While I agree with some of that, there's no way I'm paying R200 a year so some guy has a little extra in his pocket, while I have less.

I understand it costs money to maintain the sites and stuff, but most of the information is anyway freely available, and sure, you may get some extras, but it's generally stuff couldn't be bothered with. I have no interest in our local Spiders or Baboon spiders AT ALL, so that's one of the reasons I'm not part of the South African Spider Club.

Now our indigenous scorpions, snakes and reptiles, that I am interested in, although I still have qualms paying for membership for those clubs

Currently paid up member of a woodworking society and couple other clubs and worth it

Also subscribe to magazines as well

You would like benefits, so in God we trust the rest pay cash !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you pay to be a member ,you then make sure that those that is on board are dedicated and not only along for the ride!
