I definitely want one at the right price. Purely as far as appearances are concerned. It is a very subjective matter, but personally I think the metallicas are one of the most beautiful tarantulas out there. I agree with Marius though - with a young collection started in October last year, I can buy a handful of other interesting species for the price of just one metallica sling.

For me there are a lot of factors that weigh in to determine the desirability of a tarantula..

Appearance
Size
Habits and habitat
Attitude and aggression
Geographic location or scarcity
Venom potency
Speed
History

I WILL get one, but not just yet.....

I don't care wether they rare or not ,I'll die for P.metallicas at reasonable prices :lol: ..

As the saying goes... Half a loaf is better than no loaf. I have a whole bunch of p.metallicas I have been trying to breed in a temp/humidity controlled room for 6 months now. Hold thumbs for the first time in six months she has started to web her tank. Let's hope she dose not molt out. This female is someone else's so we will split the sack.

Even if these T's were as common as B.albopilosum (Curly) - I would have as many of them as I could fit into my home.

@ Shane Visser, update your Nvidia or ATI drivers, should help your graphics to run faster and better... or u dont have a graphics card and running on onboard graphics.....
