Yeah, was fun! I enjoyed it! I'm with Bonzai, Raffle drawing should've taken place earlier (was there actually a draw?)

I also thought that the whole system should be computerized. Things will run more smoothly and be a lot quicker. I also think a slide show should be made of all the T's being sold, it will just look better to show a slide show instead of having to look for the T's pic and opening it in some image viewer.

All-in-all: It was fun, I learnt a lot, met a few people. Will do it again

All in all it was a great event.
I also want to thank Skollie for helping out with collecting the spiders from the tables at the end to give to the winning bidders.
What I would change next time:
Get more volunteers to help out that know exactly what is happening. Lots of people asked me questions regarding the spiders and how things were going to run. I honestly had no clue what the processes were as I had nothing to do with the auction, not that I mind helping where I can.
I think sellers should register all the spiders that they want to sell beforehand.
That way the organisers could print out lot details beforehand to save time.
Possibly hand out tickets after each lot to the winning bidder, that he/she could take to the payment table, to speed up the process of confirming what bids everyone won.
I would definately put the viewing area away from the auction to stop certain morons from taking what is not theirs.
And lastly, all sellers have to label all the tubs with the spiders scientific names. (Even though I am pretty sure this was one of the rules for sellers?)

Other than that, I think it was a great event, and hopefully will get even better at the next auction.
Some great spiders on offer and nice putting some faces to the names.

It would also be good to keep track of who won which bids, so that everyone actually takes all that they won. Some T's were left behind by their buyers, when someone else might perhaps have loved to take this lot out but lost out when bidding...

A lot more people attended the auction in comparison to last year.
Nice pictures of spiders on auction were displayed.
It was not as hot as last year.
General program ran smoothly.

Payment and delivery to slow.
Spiders were stolen from the tables.
The care taker of the church is/was an utter arsehole.

We will improve again next time !!

I just want to say thanks to the Above mentioned people who helped in the Auction!
And thanks to Fangs and Scarab for carrying the Auction and doing so much of the back ground sorting out!

From last year it has grown, Awesome stuff, lots of fun, lots of new faces, glad to have meet so many of you!

Agree with having the spider photos on click and go system(gone blank for the proper wording), also think allot of the spiders should be put into species and not as they come. Like with the H gigas as an example, instead of it being spread across the whole table have it in one section, I'm not sure if it will work that well but it just a suggestion.

Then if we do use the church again

there are those dividers at the back maybe we can use those, so after the viewing I think it needs to be closed off, and only a select few may pick and deliver the spiders to the new owner and once the the last spider has been given away may the sellers collect there left over stock.
What we actually need is a another room away from the Auction area, and this room will only be for viewing of the spiders, and the only other time the room gets open is for collection of the new spiders!

As most people have said the payment system took a bit long, which I agree with, I got a suggestion for a solution with regards to the paying and allocating of tarantulas. !
I will forward it to Scarab once I have sorted it out.

Then just something that needs to be watched, with regards to buying of sets, I think this must be marked clearly on the container and just double checked before payment is made.



After all that said, It was a good day, I enjoyed myself.

Little bit I was there I enjoyed. And it looked like an awesome event to attend from the start next time. Next time I will make sure my geyser don't burst again

It was good meeting the people and seeing some of the more familiar faces.
