@Blade. if you feed cricket "cuts" then you wil need to go and remove the left overs a day or 2 later as they are very good at producing fungi (non edible type). I struggel to get real pinheads sometimes so i also use small crickets that i just squash the head of and then feed them to my slings!! If you have ever raised slings as small as Cyriocosmus elegans then you will know what i mean when i say some slings are just "tooo small" even for shop baught pinheads!!!!

I have modified one of my wifes smaller tweezers to make the end sharp (almost the size of a pinhead) and grab the pinheads by the legs with it. At first I missed a few but now after a year or so I have become quite dexterous :lol:

The easiest thing to do is put the tub of crickets in a the freezer for 3 minutes.
The crickets will seem dead but they are most definitely not. they will thaw out and start moving around like normal within a few minutes.

While they are in a 'coma' you can pick them up with great ease, put them in the spiders tub and let them thaw out in there.

No cutting, No trips to hardware stores. just your tub, your freezer and 3 minutes of your time.

Be careful not to leave them in the freezer for too long or they will die.

It is the easiest thing in the world to catch pinheads
put a piece of carrot or butternut, etc. into tub with
pinheads. Wait for the tiny buggers to come eat. There
should be plenty on the food. Then put the food over another container and shake. the pinheads fall off into other container.
use pill bottle to catch a few. Then slowly drop them in with
your spider.
I devised this method after many days of losing baby crickets all over my home.
this really works - try it.

hmmm a tube with a mesh and sucking them up will work 2 ..

Did this once until the mesh fell out and I had a mouth full...
