Based on the recent meeting held with Gauteng Nature Conservation at Lory Park Zoo, as well as on request of Mr. Ian Engelbreght, the following.
Gauteng Nature Conservation needs the names of a FEW forum members living in GAUTENG that will be considered as a representative WORKING GROUP on South African Baboon Spiders and Exotic Tarantulas, in conjuction with Gauteng Nature Conservation.
Mr. Engelbrecht suggested: "...we need to have a small group of people who can adequately represent the viewpoints and suggestions of the hobbyists at large. I’d suggest people that are knowledgeable and well respected, and who have good networking and communication skills." Furthermore, Mr Engelbrecht suggested that the core group to join him in this working group be: Taki, Ceratogyrus, Scarab, Arno Naude and Ian Visser (Johannesburg Zoo).
We request nominations for members from this forum to join this group. These names will be forwarded to Mr. Engelbreght once this nomination thread has closed.
