The crab is awesome!
I love wired creatures like that.
I have done some reading on the inter-webs about people starting to keep crabs as pets, I still would love some leeches as pets though.

Would you mind adding a picture of it's set-up please?

it really is cool. i've also got 3 rainbow crabs (the scientific name escapes me.. i'll google it when my internet stops being an idiot)
i'm looking for medicinal leeches from biofarms, but they're expensive
it's a pretty rudimentary house at the moment. simply a cricket tub with a water bottle cap as a water pool (they're not overly aquatic, more land based) with coir in a cricket box. it was a bit of an impulse buy since i didn't expect anybody to have them (i've been after one for over a year ) so i had to snap him up

If I'm not mistake it is Cardisoma armatum??
Those must be just as awesome to keep, I see all the colourful creatures become hobby pets.

The only interesting thing I have that lives in water is African clawed frogs (platannas) and the Axolotls.
I use to keep frogs on a stage.

When you say expensive, what are you looking at paying for one leech by you?
Cause Biofarm is based in the UK , so would think they would be cheaper?

I would say that price is not so bad, from my time living that side of the world.
When I enquired they said they would charge me £30 a leech and then I can take 1 or 10 or more, if I take 10 leeches they cover the shipping, if I take less, then they charge me £100 for shipping.

That Idea went out the window really fast.
One of these days, I will go jump into a pool of water and find leeches the good old fashioned way. :rock

When you get a chance I would love to see photo's of the other crabs you have.
