One of my B.boehmei juvies are like that. It literally spear tackled the cricket last night!

Then there is the other female.... definitely something wrong with her. She doesn't do ANYTHING....

She flicks a few hairs and then runs away from the roach. Five days later she'll eat the roach (after making friends with it and having tea and biscuits).

Still deciding whether or not I should mate her, because she'll probably just stand there, while Cassanova taps his legs off!

Nope, got it as a sling from Tim@Petbugs if i remember correctly, this was actually my first T!

After hearing all these stories of everyone else's B. Boehmei's also being full of  I feel a bit better about mine. Mine also loves flicking hairs now an then, but last night was the first time it went all out agro and I hardly took the lid of the enclosure!

My female B.boehmei is half/half she is a machine when it comes to food, but is the sweetest when you cleaning the cage she never flicks or shows signs of aggression.

I open the lid of it's enclosure SUUUUPER carefully and always try to be gentle and breathe away from her enclosure so she won't flick bristles at me... pfff whatever dude, she flicks like mad every chance she gets. It's very annoying.

  , so I'm not the only one that shouts at my spiders when they flick hairs at me. :drunk:
The worst is after you done with the tank and as you put the lid the spider flicks.

Maybe there is some hell spawn strain of B. boehmei

Mine is super chilled and docile right up until I touch the enclosure. Then it goes straight to DEFCON 1 full attack mode.
Once I open the lid the flicking begins and doesn't stop till the lid is closed again.

I have a good chuckle at mine doing exactly the same except the hairs are directed at me.

Thats funny, mine is an absolute sweetheart, she rarely flicks and not shy at all. But WOW what a great pic.
