my 2c worth, you can try an natural product called Bio Sil, which can be bought at Dischem. It is colloidal silver, which kills viruses, bacteria and fungi - you could possibly apply this with the same brush you used to remove the fungus...let me know if it works :) - it should in theory.

Another suggestion: try to wipe the stuff away with earbuds, wiping only once, the turning the earbud to wipe again with the other side. Then throw it away to avoid further spreading. Remember to clean and disinfect all used utensils with either boiling water or alcohol or by soaking them for the indicated time in Milton.

Then take another earbud and cover the fungus very thinly and carefully with some unscented Vaseline. That will close off the fungus' air supply.

Worth a try ;)

Just saying but most fungus don't work well with Air, not the other way around. Thus "cutting off" the air supply to the trichoderma breed will only make it grow better, especially if its humid.

But, also stating, some fungi do need air to grow. But the majority don't need it (they get enough from the host).

just a update...

after brushing and it looking like a scab I left it a little to see what would happen. It puffed out again, I had put some cream on the area and it didnt puff out again. But after a few days I found him on his back and he molted. Rehomed him and he seems happy! Still no idea what it could have been tho..

lets tango!
