Hi Guys,

Looking to add a couple to my little collection from petbugs.co.za.
I am considering a Venezuelan Suntiger - Psalmopoeus irminia. Is this a good first arboreal?

It's a good choice. The following might also make good first arboreals:

Psalmopeous cambridgei - Trinidad Chevron

Avicularia avicularia - Pinktoe

Pocilotheria regalis - Indian Ornamental (A bit fast but still suitable)

hose pokies as well as the irminia and cambridgei.
The pokies all believe in flight not bite but are quick as hell.
The Psalmopeous are quick but seem a bit less on edge. Either would be a nice T. Personally I like the P ornata and P irminia most. Tough choice.

The P. irminia was my first arboreal. You can save a bit of cash and get it from Hendrik, R80 cheaper. www.tarantulacafe.co.za/

Awesome, thanks!
I did quite a bit of reading first and saw they were quick but then so are all arboreals, no?

Turns out the Psalmopoeus irminia is a real looker and quite tough too so I ordered this morning.

Conrad - Thanks for the heads up, I saw them too but am getting a few others from Tim and I think for the noob I am, best go for the slightly bigger one.
