I thought I would join in on this fun debate. I would firstly start off by saying that accurately sexing an immature T is difficult.

So the first thing you could do is wait - patience will accurately have the T sexed.

You could inspect the tibial hooks or look for swollen pedipulps.

Or as a last resort (with the least accuracy) you could try judge by the size of the chelicerae (the females will be more robust and wider than the male).

Ok as someone else already made very clear to me today :whistle: , a 8cm C Rosea cant possibly have spurs or bulbs on pedipulps. So no that is incorrect :huh:

What Cerat referred to in that thread Onyx is, that size isn't a fail safe. I had two B albopilosum MM's one measuring 8cms and the other a healthy 16 cms.

What Cerat was getting at is this, that these males were different ages, and different sizes, size isn't necessarily of any concern when sexing a spider
