Good evening everyone, hope all is well

So i recently got a new T,a 8cm chilean rose, when i got him he was in a dried out tank and no water in the water bowl, tank was dirty and the substrate was smelling really bad, got new soft substrate, cleaned out the tank and now. Every day gets clean water, is keeping the substrate dry with just the waterbowl best or do i wet substrate?

He/she climbs the glass when i wet the one side guessing he doesnt like it? I read its a desert T so must it stay dry?


Also ive seen them refer to the rosea as "pet rock" well i can agree, my T loves not moving,will chill on his spot and almost never move, once i take him out he just does not stop moving.

Very friendly T atleast, me and my gf take him out everyday to get use to us. And dont get me started on eating, just isnt eating at all.

Any advice on this T will be much epriciated and taken in with note, new to this and loving it. Also im from the gauteng area

HOWEVER! Note that because Chilean roses are Southern Hemisphere creatures, and you supposedly are also living in the SH, your rose does not have to make a "Hemisphere Shift," and therefore won't be bothered by those problems.

HOWEVER, your Chilean rose will still think up all sorts of ways to make insert anxiety and stress in your life. That's why we love them so much.
