Found a baby dove fallen from it's nest trying to get out of it's egg. The cold killed it, but it was still fresh, sooooo thought I'd feed it to my Salmon pink "bird-eater". It's pre-molt though, so it touched and inspected the food, but wasn't interested. My next biggest T is a curly, so I stuck a stick through the little chick and touched the webbing at Curly's liar and voila, it turned around briskly and immediately dug it's fangs into the meat and tugged it off the stick. Curly molted about a week ago, so it's nice and hungry and having a whole chicken for graze. :laugh:

Hope I didn't spoil it too much now, whatever, nice to see a healthy T. having a big meal.

I know I am new here but i would not reccomend feeding the T a dead bird you never know if it is ill.

I would never do that bud, as I said, it was a baby bird being born, that rolled out of the nest I had been watching and it was killed by the cold winter night air.

Thought I'd clean the leftover kentucky from Curly's cage, but I couldn't find anything anywhere? Didn't want to disturb too much, so left it. Then yesterday afternoon, Curly had dug up the remains from where he hid it in some moss, carried the whole mass over to the other side of his cage and I could swear he was dunking it in his water bowl! I would like to know if this is normal behavior, Curly seems to think he's a dog :lol: :lol: :lol: He carried it around a bit and definitely was feeding on it again, but when he left it, I cleaned it out along with everything that got sloppy in the process and refilled his water bowl.

He has a hide, where he used to rest, but has now built a nest (hollow) on top of his liar, where he seems very snug. I thought curly's like to burrow ?
