The most common reason for a spider hanging on the side of the glass is the substrate is to wet. I know in some cases you might think it is not wet at all, but for the spider the humidity might be higher than the spider wants it.

Sometimes a spider just explores the surroundings, but if it stays hanging on the glass for days or tend to go up the glass on a regular basis, stop misting and let the substrate dry out a bit.
