I added yet another two t's

Acanthoscurria geniculata must say attitude can't describe this one truly,it backs it up 100% with a huge appetite. Also hits its prey super hard,and chasing after it without second thought. Even took my paint brush on in the process. The second is a nhandu carapoensis,wow same story attitude to say the least. My other editions before them are calmer,even my lasiodora parahybana which is around 18-19cm. My brachypelmas are so layback,whereas my Costa Rican tiger rump would be a master at hide and go seek. (Cough only at the hiding part) Avicularia avicularia,must say was an awesome edition as well.

Nice. I must agree with you about the A. geniculata, I can't even count the times it's scared the bejesus out of me by suddenly getting aggro.in hindsight it should not have been one of my first T's.

Thank you for the reply,but I myself see it differently. To see if tarantulas are for you,get a meanie and see if you can handle the beast. Since many start off with a curly or a chaco golden knee,and get lulled into a false sense of what these creatures are. Then when they get a more aggressive specie or a more easily agitated one,boom bite report up next !!! Get your inside info here !!! That's just my opinion.

you make a really good point actually, I get your logic behind it. I'm such a baby though, the only time I seem to actually move fast is when a T suddenly goes ape then I'm outta there!

I just see it as how humans condition themselves,we can actually adapt to a lot of things. Sadly we limit ourselves,I force myself with the worst case scenario possible. Meaning after that,anything that follows isn't bad at all. Same applies with tarantulas and many other aspects in life. Only one can limit you,that's you yourself. Want to potentially collect T's ? First get one of those with a bad attitude,if you can handle that go ahead. Doesn't matter what people say,you will one day want to own one of the more aggressive or less tolerable attitude species. This way you will respect those T's,the way they should be respected.

You're totally right in a sense but still for someone who got into the hobby to get over a fear I think starting with a very defensive spider is quite counter productive and would further exaggerate that fear, possibly put a person off spiders.
