Hey all is there a way to tell if your T is gravid or beginning stages of being gravid?
Any behaviour changes, feeding? Anything I should look for?

With my first spider's that mated my female became quite large around the middle. But at first there was no change in her behaviour or any other signs that she was gravid. Only about two months later could I see she was getting large in the abdomen and that she was eating a lot more than usual.

That’s my dilemma I’m finding it hard to see, coz the more they eat the fatter they get gravid or not.

as I have heard, you must look for "the bell shaped" abdomen! I have a gravid B.Vagans and you can see that her abdomen in somewhat abnormal looking to just say a really fat T!

I power fed my vagans and kept her at +-26, she ate like a monster for 2 weeks and now just lazes about  bred on the 17/06/2011. So hopefully the wait is not long now! Will try upload a pic later?

I did see a video on YouTube where a guy uses a really nice and bright torch that he shines as close to the opisthosoma as possible, and at the right angle you suddenly see the egg-like shapes inside the female. They called it something like "torching" but I can't remember it was months ago, do a little diggin on youtube and hopefully you'll find it.

Not a proper method I suppose, but it was cool to see.
