Yeah they have stiff, feathery hairs on the outside edge of the trochanter and femur of the pedipalp that rub against similar hairs on the inside edge of the trochanter and femur of leg 1. You will usually hear a hissing sound as they kick hairs and run away but it will probably be a few more moults yet before you hear anything from yours.

Duke, do you have a male or female? I suspect mine is male if I look at the ventral shots, perhaps the females grow slower than the males.

I have a couple of adult females, the large juvenile female already mentioned and an unsexed spiderling. I have found with any species i have bred or kept large numbers of that there will always be fast growing males and females and also ultra slow growing males and females from the same sac. So i don't believe gender is really a determining factor in growth rates.

I will have to sex my other Ts (only 1 confirmed female - A seemanni). The rest are unknown. But I seem to struggle to get a good exuvium.

I usually name my Ts, but this was quite a sudden purchase, so haven't had time yet.
