Good day everyone. I have been keeping tarantulas for 4 years now. The first 3 years were very quiet...I only acquired 3 tarantulas of which I only have one left now. The other two died due to my lack of research :dry: . This year however I really started to apply myself to the hobby, gathering info, doing the necessary research on all the species I have acquired so far.

I'm glad to see that the interest in the captive husbandry of tarantulas in South Africa is well underway, expanding every day. I hope to learn a lot from the experienced keepers on this site and look forward to answer any questions should I get some.

Thank you Uncle Charlie. Yes unfortunately only one at the moment...At first I was very sceptical to get one but ever since I did I am delighted. They are very dynamic and energetic tarantulas. I will definitely acquire more Pokies in the future.
