I'm busy cleaning my roach (Blatta Lateralis) tank.... So far I've moved the egg trays out. Now there's still 'n few small roaches running around on the ground. Do you guys just throw them away or how do you go about cleaning the bottom of your roach tank?

Here's how the bottom looks like:

I have 8 egg trays like this one. How many roaches do you guys guess I have?

Hmm substrate always confounds things. Since youve already put substrate in, I would leave it there as there are probably hundreds of babies in the dirt. For the bigger roaches, substrate is fine I guess as they are much easier to spot in the substrate. However, foreasier cleaning, use newspaper, paper towel or no substrate at all. I just re-use the egg trays.
