Ok so like i am starting a small Brachypelma collection...
have a b.smithi - 1cm, b.albopilosum - 8cm, b.boehmei - 1cm and the one im a little curious of.. the b.vagan - 1cm.
i have read its aggressive and i have read that its docile. which is it???
i have had more people telling me that they are aggro... i would like to handle all my brachypelma if thats possible.

I have B Vagans, B. Albopilosum, B Albiceps, B. Boehmei, all ranging from 4-11 cm, and I handle all of them. The B. Vagans is about 5-6 cm, its usually kind of skittish when in its enclosure, once I have it out, i handle it with no issues. Yet I do know that attitude will differ from one individual to the other. IF it does actually bite you, prepare yourself for what I would imagine is inferior to that of a bee sting (at one centimeter even less, if you will even know you were tagged). best is to handle it now, and continue as it grows so both you and the T will get used to it.

ok cool... but its so small... but ok ill start tonight or over the weekend. yes i have heard that individual tarantulas have their own personality. But yeah.... it seems real shy.

Just do whatever you do very slowly, and use a small soft brush to manipulate it. at that size just a slight twitch of your finger will result in spider mince. Just remember it is not recommended to handle any tarantula, and whoever does so, does it at their own discretion. (I Occasionally handle a Poecilotheria or a psalmopoeus, but never on purpose, and I have been tagged 3 times by the same psalmopoeus irminia )
