Not so sure.
From what I understood, L.cristata was still a valid species, and according to: research.amnh.org/iz/spiders/catalog/THERAPHOSIDAE.html it still is.

Sure there was a conversation about this a while ago that Magnificent Duke (I think???) was involved with stating that both L.cristata and N.chromatus were valid species, but that it was believed that L.cristata was just not in the hobby?
Maybe I am totally confused, but that's what my aging memory remembers (Or thinks it does).
