Largest Fangs? was created by Maggy Pearce
Hi everyone,

This is just something trivial I've been wondering about.

We all know which tarantulas have the largest fangs (that being the largest tarantulas), but which tarantula would you say has the largest fangs relative to body size? Maybe they are all the same, but I wouldn't know that.

My N. Tripepii molted two weeks ago and on inspection of the exuvium I was surprised at the size of the fangs. I've seen the sizes of some of my other tarantulas' fangs and expected to see a size fang a bit smaller.

What would your opinions be?

Hello
Not trivial at all, quite a nice topic. My avic avicularia, has smaller fangs than my Brachypelma emilia and they are almost at identical size. If I took my l.parahybana and sized it up with my A.geniculata, my parahybana has way larger fangs and both are about 8 inches.
