Thank you Jake, I think I will just get new substrate and thus rid of the whole problem and not just part of it.

I am at a complete loss to explain what enthusiasts think they are accomplishing by doing this. Do we pour water on the kitchen floor every time we take a drink? Do we let the toilet overflow every time we use it? Do we keep a corner of our living room wet all the time? Why would anyone do that to a tarantula?

Curlyhairs (Brachypelma albopilosum) are kept as an arid species as adults. Baby B. albopilosum are kept the same as every other baby tarantula.
