Hi guys, my L.parahybana has been fasting for 2 months now, accepted it was in pre-molt, but I have been putting in feeders regularly every week and removing them again the next day, just in case. Last night it ate the roach? Now I'm confused, it always ate anything I offered without fuss and when it stopped, I wasn't surprised, but now I am wondering. It has shrunk quite a bit and it should have been ready to molt anytime now.

My Brachypelma albopilosum and Grammostola pulchipres slings did the same. Closed up their burrows the whole winter, then opened them without molting. They each ate a decapitated meal worm and now about a month later both have molted.

Did they just have the one meal? After that meal did they fast again?

Yes, was just the one. They closed up their burrows again and both molted within a month after closing up.
